Designed by Associated Architects Limited, the Movie Town Cinema Complex in New Territories, Hong Kong, is a grand addition to the city's entertainment scene. With a total construction area of 3,600 square meters, this cinema complex offers a unique movie-watching experience.

The design of the cinema complex is characterized by its box-shaped structure, featuring two distinctive iconic M-shaped features that open at opposite ends of the Shatin Town Hall and the residential towers. These features serve as the main programs, including the foyer, movie trailer display, and circulation paths inside the building. The facade panels, which imitate the gesture of a stage curtain, create a sense of drama and anticipation as visitors enter the cinema complex.

One of the key strengths of the Movie Town Cinema Complex is its integration with the surrounding urban fabric. The neutral silver cladding and the copper-like feature of the building harmonize with the architectural language of the development, bridging the gap between the past and the present.
